Proverbs 26

Proverbs 26

“Like a sparrow in its flitting, like a swallow in its flying, a curse that is causeless does not alight. A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the back of fools. Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.
Like a lame man’s legs, which hang useless, is a proverb in the mouth of fools.
Like a dog that returns to his vomit is a fool who repeats his folly. Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
For lack of wood the fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases. As charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife.
Like the glaze covering an earthen vessel are fervent lips with an evil heart.
A lying tongue hates its victims, and a flattering mouth works ruin.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:2-5, 7, 11-12, 20-21, 23, 28‬ ‭
Satan engaged Eve in conversation suggesting that God was a liar. Instead of raising her guard and looking for Adam or asking for God she willfully engaged this strange and different animal in a conversation that discredited her relationship with her creator and moved her in a path away from her husband that God had designed her to be with. Satan’s plan to carry forward the work that he began in heaven was founded on the idea that man could not obey the law of God. He succeeded by lies and misrepresentation in turning them from allegiance to God’s law. By this transgression Mans relationship with God seemed forever lost. The law could not be changed in order to meet man in his fallen condition. Instead of condemning the human race to eternal death, He gave His only begotten Son for their redemption the original image of whom man had been created. entered into a covenant with God to save man, and to clearly show His Father’s character as expressed in the law. He came to the earth in the form of man to expose Satan’s lie, that God had given a law which man could not keep. He came to give Himself as a sacrifice for sin, revealing to the heavenly universe that the law is as changeless and eternal as is Jehovah Himself. Those who believe on Christ and obey His commandments are not under bondage to God’s law; those who believe and obey, His law is not a law of bondage, but of liberty. Every one who believes on Christ, every one who relies on the keeping power of a risen Saviour that has suffered the penalty pronounced upon the transgressor, every one who resists temptation and in the midst of evil follows the pattern given in the Christ-life, will through faith in the atoning sacrifice of Christ become a partaker of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Every one who by faith obeys God’s commandments, will reach the condition of sinlessness in which Adam lived before his transgression. Jesus looked forward to the Day He would return triumphantly to bring back those who believe on him and would have the relationship restored to The Father. He compared it to a wedding feast and in the upper room before his death instituted the ceremony of communion which he asked us to remember replacing the Passover He was about to complete as the Pascal lamb forever taking away the sins of the world. In the day of judgment, when the death upon the cross is seen in all its meaning, every voice will be silenced. Every one will acknowledge God’s wisdom, justice, and goodness; with one voice declaring, “Just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints.” Revelations 15:3 Have an awesome day
