Proverbs 21

Proverbs 21

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart. To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin. The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.
When a scoffer is punished, the simple becomes wise; when a wise man is instructed, he gains knowledge.
Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21:2-5, 11, 21‬ ‭
Satan’s point from the very beginning was to convince everyone that God was a liar. That what He said wasn’t true. God based His entire character on love so Satan tried focus on the law to show how truth required justice without Gods mercy. Christ proved by his life and through his death that Gods justice did not destroy his mercy but that sin could be forgiven and that the law is righteousness and could be perfectly obeyed. Jesus represented to a fallen humanity what we might become when we link our humanity to divinity by faith. His character was the literal fulfillment of what King David wrote when he said “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other” (Psalm 85:10). Reconciling again to each other the relationship lost through lies by the truth in mercy and love. It is our own pride that pushes the lie that we don’t need true love or that there is any life worth living without it. There is not. Any condemnation or judgment that screams “unworthy” as we begin to search for the true Love God promised is a distraction just like pride or anything else that keeps us from preparing ourselves from opening up our hearts to receive that love. God has designed us to live and thrive on true love. It is our privilege and responsibility to grow that kind of love that He wants us to have like the best meal. In the quiet pursuit of truth He speaks to us as it is written “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭Let us prepare for this feast! Have an awesome day!
