Proverbs 10

Proverbs 10

Today’s proverbs from chapter 10.
“The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin. Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.
The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
The wise lay up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool brings ruin near.
The wage of the righteous leads to life, the gain of the wicked to sin. Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray.
The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. Doing wrong is like a joke to a fool, but wisdom is pleasure to a man of understanding.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10:8-9, 11, 14, 16-17, 22-23‬
Pride is what keeps us from truth and wisdom. A diligent search for truth involves an unbiased search with the intention of learning what is right and just not what is popular or easy. This walk of integrity seems impossible by worldly standards because of the distractions that are placed above the word of God. God has promised to always make a way out for His followers of truth. “Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it; for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name” (Revelation 3:8) This means consistently looking for His character in the issues we are faced with daily. Denying our impulses to be in His presence. “Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man.” Psalm 31:20. It is here that we can escape the rush and confusion of the world to find a quiet resting place in His nature. Truth is purifying in nature and God wants us to cherish the gifts He has to give us with the grace of humility and thankfulness. It is only with this perfected character that we can truly enjoy and care for the blessings we are sure to receive. Have an awesome day!
